Core Gameplay

BlockJump is an exciting vertical platformer where you control a Tezos logo, climbing ever higher through a series of platforms. Your goal is to reach the highest score possible by climbing blocks and collecting powerups. The game becomes progressively harder as you climb higher, with more obstacles and enemies to overcome.

- Use the arrow keys to move left and right
- Press the up arrow to jump
- Press space to shoot at enemies
- Avoid falling off the bottom of the screen
- Collect powerups to enhance your abilities

Platforms

There are three types of platforms in the game:

• Normal Platforms: Safe to land on
• Golden Platforms: Gives you an extra boost when jumped from
• Spike Platforms: Dangerous! Avoid these at all costs

Powerups

Collect these powerups to gain temporary advantages:

• Shield: Protects you
• Rapid Fire: Shoot faster
• Constant Beam: Shoot a continuous laser
• Low Gravity: Jump higher
• Clear Screen: Removes all enemies and debuffs
• Nomadic: Upgrades your weapon permanently

Watch out for debuffs that can hinder your progress!

JUMP Token and Upgrades

JUMP is the game's native token that can be used to purchase upgrades and contribute to the jackpot. You can earn JUMP tokens by playing the game or purchase them separately.

The game features a permanent upgrade system that allows you to improve your character's abilities:

• Speed: Increases movement speed (3 tiers: 3%, 6%, 10%)
• Jump: Adds extra jumps and increases jump height (3 tiers: 3 jumps, 3 jumps + 3% height, 3 jumps + 8% height)
• Shield: Protects from enemy shots (3 tiers: 1, 2, or 3 hits)
• Rapid Fire: Reduces cooldown time for shots (3 tiers: 10%, 10%, 25% reduction)
• Bomb: Consumable item that clears all enemies and debuffs (max 3, activate with 'E' key)

Upgrades can be purchased using either your game $Score or JUMP tokens. When using JUMP tokens, the funds contribute to the game's jackpot, increasing potential winnings for all players.

Remember: Upgrades are permanent and carry over between game sessions, giving you a lasting advantage as you climb the leaderboard!

Jackpot System

The game features an exciting jackpot system:

• The player with the highest Tezos Price is ranked first on the leaderboard
• The first-place player can claim the jackpot at any time
• Once claimed, the jackpot resets, and a new climbing session begins
• Stay vigilant! Other players can overtake your Tezos Price and claim the jackpot before you

Remember: You must be in first place to claim the jackpot. If you're overthrown, you'll lose your chance until you reclaim the top spot!

Bribe Mechanics

BlockJump introduces an innovative "Bribe Leader" feature, adding a strategic element to the game:

• The "Bribe Leader" button is available to all players, regardless of their current ranking.
• Bribing allows you to overtake the current leader by paying them off with JUMP tokens or XTZ.
• When you successfully bribe, you'll be placed at the top of the leaderboard with a Tezos Price slightly higher than the previous leader.
• After a successful bribe, you'll have the opportunity to claim the jackpot.
• Be strategic! Bribing can be expensive, so time your move carefully.

How it works:

1. Click the "Bribe Leader" button to initiate the process.
2. Choose whether to bribe with JUMP tokens or XTZ.
3. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
4. If successful, you'll be placed at the top of the leaderboard.
5. The "Claim Prize" button will appear, allowing you to claim the jackpot.

Remember: Bribing is a high-risk, high-reward strategy. Use it wisely to maximize your chances of claiming the jackpot!

Add Funds Feature

The "Add Funds" feature allows players to contribute to the game's jackpot:

• Click the "Add Funds" button after connecting your wallet
• Choose to add either XTZ (Tezos) or JUMP tokens
• Enter the amount you wish to contribute
• Confirm the transaction in your wallet

Adding funds increases the jackpot size, making the game more exciting for everyone! The current jackpot balance is displayed in the Highscores section.

Remember: Funds added to the jackpot can be won by the top-ranking player. It's a great way to support the game and increase the potential winnings!

Achievements

Unlock special achievements as you play:

• 666 Climber: End the game with exactly 66 blocks climbed
• Power Collector: Collect 100 powerups in a single run
• High Climber: Climb 100 or more blocks in one game
• Paris Explorer: Reach the Paris background
• Pro Gamer: Achieve a Tezos Price of 200,000 or higher

Each achievement can be minted as an NFT, providing a permanent record of your gaming prowess on the blockchain!
